About Steven Hocker
COUNSELOR | COMMUNICATOR | CREATIVE
Steven is a gifted pastoral counselor, communicator, and creative contributor who leverages his passion for interpersonal relationships and media to bring the hope of Christ to a hurting world.
In his counsel of others through CompassPoint Biblical Counseling, Steve relates the Word of God to worldly suffering; equipping individuals, couples, and families to love God and love others in Christ-centered ways, by applying Biblical truth under the authority of Scripture, which leads to Spirit-led transformation and enduring life change.
As co-host of the popular morning drive-time radio program, Mornings with Kelli and Steve, Steve can be heard weekday mornings from 6-9am on 97.9-FM Moody Radio. Having logged thousands of hours on-stage and on-air, Steve daily encourages Christ followers by sharing relevant Biblical content to shine a light of hope where it is absent.
As the founder of The Art of Perseverance, Steven develops engaging Biblical content that makes the hope of the Gospel accessible to people everywhere. He has had the extraordinary blessing of being a contributor to an award-winning children's book that earned the Dove Foundation's "Family-Approved" seal, and holds several audio and video production credits with notable Christian artists and ministries.
Driven by Paul's teachings to the Church at Ephesus, Steve assumed the mantle charged to us in Chapter 2, Verse 10 that says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Trusting that God has him doing the work prepared in advance for him, Steven, his wife Pauleen, and their two sons, call Indiana home.
